For more than 20 years, The Christina Shaw Agency has built a reputation for exceptional service, strong community relationships, and consistent growth. As we continue expanding our commercial insurance division, we're looking for an experienced Commercial Lines Producer to join our team.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants the stability of an established agency combined with the earning potential of an entrepreneurial sales role.
What Makes This Opportunity Different?
Unlike many producer positions, the agency owner generates a significant amount of referral business through strategic networking, marketing, Realtor and business partnerships, and community involvement. These referrals will be provided to support your growth and success.
At the same time, this is not a lead-only position. We're looking for a producer who enjoys developing their own relationships and generating new business through networking, referrals, and prospecting. Your ability to cultivate your own book of business is an important part of this role.
To help you succeed, the agency owner will invest in your networking efforts, including paid memberships and opportunities to attend networking events, business organizations, and community functions throughout New York.
Responsibilities
- Develop new commercial insurance relationships through networking, referrals, and prospecting.
- Build and manage a profitable commercial book of business.
- Quote, present, and bind commercial insurance solutions.
- Cross-sell additional coverages including Business Auto, Workers' Compensation, General Liability, Commercial Property, Umbrella, Cyber, EPLI, and more.
- Build long-term relationships with business owners and referral partners.
- Work collaboratively with our personal lines team to maximize household opportunities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of commercial insurance sales experience (required).
- Active New York Property & Casualty License.
- Proven success producing commercial insurance business.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and risk management.
- Excellent networking, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Location
This position may be remote or hybrid, however candidates must reside in New York. Because relationship-building and networking are an important part of this role, regular in-person meetings and events throughout the region are expected.
