Responsibilities:
- Prospect for and sell personal and commercial insurance policies for new and existing customers.
- Create and maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers by being professional and efficient in your interactions.
- Up sell and cross sell existing and prospective customers.
- Be motivated to aggressively work lead lists, generate a pipeline of prospects, process quotes, update files, follow up when necessary, sell and process insurance applications.
- Utilize systems properly and efficiently for customer retention, acquisition and compliance.
- Educate new and existing customers about products offered by the agency.
Qualifications:
- Must live locally.
- Property and Casualty license for the state of New York required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years experience in the insurance industry in sales and/or customer service.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively secure new business and maintain existing client base.
- Have a proven track record of business to business sales success. Possess strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills with the ability to close sales.
- Possess strong organizational skills with an ability to complete assignments without supervision, sound business judgment, strong decision-making and superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Have strong time management skills, thrive in a team environment and Technology and Computer proficiency including agency management systems .
- Must have a willingness to excel and grow, be open minded and positive.
Compensation: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
