As an Insurance Sales Representative at Sumner Insurance Group, located in the heart of Hendersonville, TN, you will play a crucial role in the success of our business by engaging new prospects and building strong relationships within the community. You will utilize your insurance knowledge and sales skills to increase our customers’ understanding of the value of insurance and cultivate long-term relationships through trusted advice and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with New Prospects: Identify and engage potential clients through various channels, including networking, referrals, and community events.
  • Build Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and the community to foster trust and loyalty.
  • Sales and Consultations: Conduct consultations with clients to assess their insurance needs and provide tailored solutions that offer value and peace of mind.
  • Education and Advice: Educate clients on the importance of insurance coverage and provide expert advice to help them make informed decisions.
  • Customer Service: Deliver outstanding customer service and support to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Follow-up and Referrals: Follow up with prospects and clients to ensure their needs are met and generate referrals to grow the business.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to achieve agency goals and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
Job Qualifications
  • Strong interest in a sales career – sales experience preferred
  • No insurance experience required
  • Willing to obtain necessary Property and Casualty and/or Life and Health license(s) to sell insurance upon hire (existing license is a plus!)
  • Confident, motivated individual with results- driven approach 
  • Ability to work well in a team environment 
  • Able to multi-task, follow through, and follow-up
  • Ability to network and build relationships in person and over the phone
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
